To provide dental services efficiently, we embrace a progressive approach at our Thunder Bay practice to provide dental services efficiently. Advances in technology allow our dentists to perform procedures in a timely fashion and with precision. To replace missing or damaged teeth, we provide patients with crowns in a single visit using the E4D CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing) system at our office. When root canal therapy is required to preserve the health of your natural tooth, our dentists use digital apex locators that reduce the time needed to perform the procedure and eliminates the need for multiple x-rays.
Using digital diagnostic tools, such as a digital x-ray machine and a cone beam CT scanner, we rapidly produce high-fidelity images and digital impressions. This often makes for improved patient experiences and outcomes when it comes to dental implant treatment, manufacture of computerised AvaDent® dentures, and other aspects of restorative care.
Both Dr. Mao and Dr. Lau are certified by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario to provide IV sedation, a method of inducing relaxation valued for its quick, predictable results.

If you are feeling cold or if it would help you feel more comfortable, our staff is more than happy to supply a warm blanket.
At your initial visit, our hygienists provide a cleaning, x-rays will be taken, and our dentists perform a complete oral health examination. Out of respect for your time, we provide as much care as is appropriate at each appointment to keep treatment plans at reasonable lengths. On a by-appointment basis only, we also offer visits on Saturday, allowing busy professionals and their families the flexibility to fit treatment into their schedules.
